(AMMAN, October 6, 2019): Safwa Islamic Bank has sponsored Mabarrat Um Hussein’s 55th Annual Diplomatic Bazaar, which was inaugurated by HRH Princess Basma and saw the participation of more than 50 certified Arab and foreign embassies and diplomatic bodies.
The bank’s sponsorship to the bazaar, the revenues of which are allocated to support the Mabarra’s children, comes as part of Safwa’s social responsibility strategy, which is a manifestation of the bank’s values and heritage, in addition to the solidarity commitments it has undertaken. The bank is keen on fulfilling these commitments to support various sectors and segments, most notably the civil society institutions, seeking to support them, render their efforts a success and help them achieve their noble objectives of contributing to positive change and securing a better future for the community’s youth, with focus on orphaned and underprivileged children.
On the occasion, Safwa Islamic Bank CEO Mr. Samer Tamimi said: “We seek to uplift our local community not only through our contributions to develop Islamic banking and all the modern and flexible services and products it encompasses, but also through services that hold human and development significance.”
Notably, the bank has a long-term comprehensive strategy for institutional community service that is in pace with modern concepts and is annually revamped in accordance with needs. The banks aims to provide through the strategy, which encompasses programs, initiatives, activities and sponsorships, an added qualitative value for all stakeholders and beneficiaries.
