Remote Deposit Cheque Service

As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver smart and convenient solutions for our corporate clients, Safwa Islamic Bank is introducing the Remote Deposit Cheque service. Corporate clients can deposit cheques at their convenience, directly from their offices, and view details of cheques deposited into the company’s account at any time.

RDC Terms and Conditions:

  • RDC Service: The “Remote Deposit Cheques Service” provided by the Bank to the eligible corporates, which enables the corporate to:
      • Scan cheques and deposit them remotely (from their offices) at their convenience.
      • View deposited & inward cheques received by the corporate.
  • This service is requested by the corporate with coordination with the relationship manager. The request will be studied by the bank, once approved, the service will be activated and the customer will be notified accordingly, in line with the Bank’s approved terms and procedures.
  • Mechanism for Using the Service:
    • Authorized signatories must sign the terms and conditions related to the service.
    • Activating the service and determining authorized users in accordance with the company’s financial and administrative authorities as per the registration certificate of the corporate.
    • Cheques deposited through this service must be in JOD & drawn on banks operating in Jordan only.
    • The company must be the final beneficiary of the cheque, and depositing cheques where the beneficiary is Safwa Bank is not allowed.
    • The beneficiary’s name must be written, signed, and the cheque endorsed (if applicable) on the back of the original cheque, along with signing the collection authorization clearly and correctly, without erasures or alterations.
    • The customer is obligated to retain the original cheque deposited via the Remote Deposit Service (RDC) in a manner that ensures its integrity and accessibility upon request, and must not deposit or re-present the original cheque to Safwa Bank or any other party
    • The Customer shall bear the service usage fees in accordance with the Bank’s approved schedule of fees and commissions, as announced on the Bank’s website
    • Visiting the Bank’s branch within two working days from the date of cheque return, to stamp the returned cheques submitted via the Service.
