Safwa Islamic Bank Launches the CSR-focused “Ambassadors of Giving” Team

In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its role in advancing sustainable development, Safwa Islamic Bank has officially launched the “Ambassadors of Giving” team, dedicated exclusively to CSR initiatives. This milestone positions Safwa Islamic Bank as the first Islamic bank in the Kingdom to establish a specialized CSR team.

The formation of the Ambassadors of Giving team represents a significant evolution in the way Safwa implements its community initiatives, enabling greater efficiency, effectiveness, and long-term impact. This strategic move underscores the bank’s deepening commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and its alignment with international standards, national development priorities, and the objectives of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision.

As the executive arm of the bank’s CSR strategy, the team will spearhead the planning, activation, and execution of community programs through a structured institutional framework. By embedding CSR within the bank’s operational ethos, Safwa Islamic Bank aims to translate its charitable vision into a measurable, sustainable impact on the ground.

In addition, the team will take the lead on fostering a culture of giving and volunteerism among employees, reflecting the bank’s core values of solidarity. The Ambassadors of Giving will also play an active role in designing initiatives, plans, and programs based on the needs of the community. These will cover various key pillars such as healthcare, education, environmental protection, and support for marginalized groups.

Youd Aldughmi, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing, commented on the team’s launch, saying, “We take immense pride in our ongoing journey of community engagement and in every initiative that has made a meaningful difference in people’s lives. The launch of the Ambassadors of Giving team is a continuation of this path, providing a more structured, impactful, and sustainable approach to our CSR efforts.”

She added, “This initiative is a natural extension of our legacy of giving and empowerment—whether through supporting individuals or collaborating with civil society organizations. Moving forward, we are committed to expanding the scope and depth of our social, economic, and environmental contributions in line with our long-term strategic vision.”
