Safwa Islamic Bank has launched the eighth edition of the “Safwa Future Stars” summer training program, reaffirming its commitment to supporting and developing university students across the governorates where the bank operates.
Through the month-long program, students will receive intensive, hands-on training at the bank’s branches, gaining practical experience that complements their academic studies. The program is designed to strengthen their understanding of the banking sector, bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enhance their readiness for the job market, and encourage professional growth, innovation, and creativity.
Safwa Future Stars has become a cornerstone of the bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy, reflecting its commitment to creating a meaningful impact in key areas, particularly education and youth socio-economic empowerment. Through this year’s program, the bank continues to nurture the next generation of banking professionals, equipping them with the skills and experience needed to meet the evolving demands of the sector while contributing to its long-term competitiveness and sustainable growth.
This year’s edition attracted strong interest from university students seeking high-quality practical training in the banking sector, underscoring the program’s growing reputation as a valuable platform for career development. It also supports efforts to enhance youth employability by connecting education with practical training and employment opportunities. Over the years, a number of Safwa Future Stars graduates have gone on to join the bank in various roles and specializations.
A total of 54 students have been selected to participate this year, bringing the total number of beneficiaries since launch to approximately 347 trainees.
