Safwa Islamic Bank Launches the “Safwa Future Stars 2025” Training Program for University Students

Safwa Islamic Bank has launched the seventh edition of its annual Safwa Future Stars summer training program, aimed at equipping university students across the Kingdom with hands-on experience in a real banking environment. The program supports students in the governorates served by the bank’s branch network, helping them develop practical skills and enhance their readiness for the job market after graduation.
The month-long program provides intensive field training that bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application. Participants gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of the banking sector, particularly in delivering digital banking services, and develop core professional competencies aligned with market demands.
Now in its seventh year, Safwa Future Stars reflects the bank’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, especially in empowering youth and nurturing a generation of future banking professionals equipped with the skills to navigate the evolving financial landscape. The program also encourages innovation and creativity, contributing to the sector’s future development and long-term growth.
Commenting on the initiative, Mohammed Hawari, Head of Human Capital Management, said, “Safwa Future Stars is one of the programs we take the most pride in. It serves as a bridge between academic studies and the professional world, giving young people the confidence and competence to begin their careers. We believe that investing in youth, who make up the largest segment of our society, is an investment in Jordan’s future.”
This year’s cycle received a high number of applications, with 57 students selected to join the program, bringing the total number of trainees since its inception to 300. The bank also continues to integrate program graduates into its workforce, with 25 former participants currently employed in various roles across the organization.
It is worth noting that Safwa Future Stars has become one of the most notable and enduring youth training initiatives in Jordan’s banking sector, contributing to the development of young talent and strengthening the country’s human capital.
